Celebrating Cole's Bday

This concludes out MN summer trip.

Our last weekend was filled with birthday fun. We left the cabin on Sunday to head to my brother Luke's house to celebrate my nephew Cole's 8th birthday.

It was a lot of fun. After dinner and birthday ice cream cake, we went outside for some baseball fun. Drew had a blast playing with his older cousins.

Natalie came a little later, and the kids got out the light sabers. It was fun to see Drew and Kyra playing with their cousins. Sure wish it could happen more often.

Celebrating Gpa Greg's Bday at the cabin

The last weekend before the kids and I left MN, we celebrated Mike's dad's birthday up at the cabin with Greg and Sandy (Mike's parents), Mark (Mike's brother), Kristen (sister-in-law), Carrie (Mike's sister), and the kids and I.

It was a great time. Mark and Kristen brought thier two little dogs with, so Drew and Kyra loved feeding them treats and playing with them.

Saterday evening, we celebrate Greg's birthday. The kids enjoyed eating some of his gifts.

Sunday was a beautiful day. The kids and I went tubing behind the boat. We are truely thankful and blessed for such a wonderful weekend with family.

A Day at Build A Bear

When we were in MN, Grandma Sandy (Mike's mom), and Auntie Carrie (Mike's sister), took the kids and I to Build A Bear. Niether of us had ever been, so we were really exctied.

It was a fun day. First the kids had a chanse to pick out which animal they wanted to stuff. Drew picked out a dog, and Kyra picked out a pink bear.

Next the kids picked out hearts for thier animals, gave them a big kiss, and put them inside thier animal. Then they helped put stuffing into the animals. When they were stuffed, the kids gave them an air bath to make sure all the stuffing was off of the outside.

Last but not least, Drew and Kyra picked out outfits for theri animal. Drew picked out a Spiderman outfit, while Kyra picked out pink leggins and a tank top.

Drew named his dog Ralphy, and Kyra named her bear Love Bug. It was so much fun, and the kids LOVE them! Thanks Grandma Sandy and Carrie for a fun day!

Dentist Time

It was time for Drew's 6 month dentist check up. Kyra also wanted her teeth clean and checked too. It's so much fun having Grandma Sandy check and clean the kid's teeth; they love going!

Going to the zoo, zoo, zoo. How bout you...

My cousin Sara and her family came to spend time with us. We not only went to the Twins game, but also the Como Zoo. The zoo was so much fun. It was a PERFECT day!

The kids all got their faces painted. Which I know for Drew, was the best part of the day. We ate lunch in the park, saw many animals, road the merry-go-round, and enjoyed being together.

The last two pictures are from our afternoon at Cabela's (the store) with Grandpa Greg, Grandma Sandy, and Uncle Mark. We had fun looking at all the animals, walking through the fish aquarium, and going to BK.

MN Twins Game

Drew and I went to a Minnesota Twins baseball game. It was so much fun! We went with Emily(Sister), Zach, Natalie, Ava; Sara(Cousin), Seth, Tessa, Isaiah, Micha; Aaron(Brother),and Katelyn.

Drew even sang along during the 7th inning stretch to "Take Me Out to the Ball Game." It was a great game..the Twins won!

Chuck E. Cheese

Before Mike flew back to UT, we took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese. We all had a great time playing and riding on the games. Drew and Kyra also got to dance and sing with Chuck E. Cheese himself.

We had a lot of fun, but it was hard to say goodbye to Mike aka Daddy.

At the Cabin

Mike was flying in to MN to spend the 4th of July with us, so the kids and I drove from Itaska to the cabin. We had great weather both Saturday and Sunday.

The fireworks were the best I had seen in years...so much fun! Kyra was scared of them, so she buried her face in my jacket and waited for them to finish.

We had a great weekend! Enjoy the pictures!

Off to Camping at Itaska State Park

When we arrived in Mn, we didn't waste any time. Well, I take that back, I did some laundry. But then we headed up north to see some family. My dad's side of the family camps every year at Itaska State Park over the 4th of July.

It was great to see many of my aunts and uncles, cousins, and grandparents. I truly cherish spending time with them. The kids and I also went into "town" to see my mom's side of the family too.

Thank you to Joel and Marilyn (aunt and uncle) for letting us crash there one night. It's always great to see my extended family. Drew and Kyra had a blast playing with my cousins, and my cousin's kids.

Trip to Ohio

Well...our trip to Ohio was interesting to say the least. Mike and I had to wake to kids up at 5:30 to catch our flight at 7:45am on June 22nd. Woke Drew up and after a few minuets he said he had to "spit up." Which means throw up. So as we ran out the door, I grabbed a bucket...luckily. Drew threw up 2 times on the way to the airport and 4-5 times on the plan ride to Ohio.

My friend, Tara, picked us up, Drew threw up one last time as we were getting into her car..around 4pm. By the time we got to their house, Drew had taken a nap and was feeling better. He and Keegan played for a couple hours that night.

On Tuesday, we went to CCN's pool and had a fabulous day of swimming and fun. Tuesday night, Keegan woke up throwing up. Wednesday morning, I took Drew, Kyra, and Kenna out to the splash pad. Hoping that the flu would not spread.

Mike fly into Ohio on Wednesday nite...thankfully. Drew woke up throwing up..again plus the other end too. By this time, Keegan was feeling better...so far. Mike and I decided to get a hotel room to clear the air of this HORRIBLE flu.

So Thursday, Tara took the kids and I to a hotel...thankfully. That night, Tara and Kenna got sick. This was the most deadliest flu ever. Friday we hooked back up with Keegan and his dad Chad at a pool, and Saturday we all got to enjoy each other.

Mike was flying out Sunday afternoon, so he brought the kids and I over to Chad and Tara's house. We flew to MN on Monday. We enjoyed the time we did get to spend with the Harlow's, but we wish that the flu hadn't followed us there.

Drew's Swim Lessons

Before we left, Drew had swim lesson the second and third week in June. The weather did not cooperate with us. It rain and was cold every day but two. It made it really hard to keep Drew in the water.

Drew did a great job. He is in level 1. There was 5 other kids in his class. Drew and another little boy were the youngest. Drew learned how to use his "ice cream scoops", his windmill strokes, and practiced kicking all at the same time. It was really fun to watch him learn.

Hello ~ We are still here!

Sorry it's been so long. The kids and I have been out of state for the last month. We've been visiting friends in Ohio and spending lots of time with family in Minnesota. But before we left, the kids and I help celebrate Josh's first birthday!
