Mom's Group Halloween Party

On Wednesday afternoon, the mom's group had our annual Halloween party. It was a beautiful fall day in the park. It was a great party with a wonderful turnout. Drew and Kyra had so much fun being all dressed up in the Halloween costumes.

Fall'in in LOVE

I had to find some beautiful fall leaves and take a couple of pictures. I love fall; it's so pretty and way too short. The kids had some much fun playing with the leaves.

Decorating Halloween Cookies

Last week, the kids and I decorated yummy Halloween cookies at Kathy, Luke, and Josh's house. The kids had a great time decorating but more fun eating them.

Pet Store

With the mom's group, the kids and I got to tour a pet store. The kids really enjoyed looking, learning, and touching the animals.

Black Island Farm

A couple of weekends ago, we went to Black Island Farms to enjoy their fall festivities. As you can see from the pictures, the kids had a BLAST!!! Check out the video bar on the side too. We had a lot of fun.

Pumpkin Patch Hayride

This evening the kids and I went to Day Farms in UT and went on a hayride to an enormous pumpkin patch. We had so much fun!

The tractor took us on a ride to the pumpkin patch, but of course, it wouldn't be a Halloween hayride with out something jumping out at you and scaring us. Kyra did NOT like that. She was so scared to go back past them.

Once at the pumpkin patch, we walked among thousands of gigantic pumpkins. It was really hard to choose which one to pick, but with some encouragement, everyone found one they were happy with.

Beautiful night, beautiful view, with my beautiful kids! So much fun!

Dead Horse Point State Park

On Friday, we got up and check out of the hotel and headed towards Dead Horse Point State Park.

When we arrived at the park, we saw more amazing views. Mike made a great point, Arches were were on the ground and Dead Horse we were on top. Two completely different view points, both beautiful in thier own ways. Mike and I both prefered the ground view - Not sure his reasons, but mine was cause of the kids. I was afaid of taking my eyes off of them.

Dead Horse was a much much smaller park, but the view was breathtaking. There was paved trails along the edge of the point. Drew and Kyra had fun walking the trails and climbing on parent-aprroved rocks.

Enjoy the pictures!

Arches National Park

Wednesday night, Mike and I and the kids drove down to Moab, UT for a couple of days. We spent Thursday morning and afternoon at Arches National Park near Moab, UT.

Because the kids are small, it really limited us on what we could explore. Most of the trails were over 1 mile...way too long for a 4 and 2 year old.

We did find a couple of fun trails to explore. The first was Sand Dune Arch Trail. It was a great hike for small kids. Once back there, the sand was like beach sand (only reddish). Drew and Kyra had so much fun. Drew was climbing and jumping.

Another trail we hiked on was Balanced Rock Trail. This was mostly a paved trail, very nice for little ones. Along the path, the park rangers had made several little "Balanced Rocks." Kyra liked playing with them.

Arches was a beautiful national park...I've never seen anything like it. Salt Lake mountains are NO comparison to the mountains down there.

Enjoy the pictures!
