Christmas Eve

Our Christmas Eve was spent at my mom and Steve's house. We had a great time. We enjoyed a fabulous dinner made by mom, opened presents, went to Christmas Eve service, and came back to play games. We are thankful for these special times with family.

Kyra's Baptism

We were blessed to have Kyra baptized with our family present on Sunday. We sat in the second row (Not reccomended). Kyra was such a beautiful little girl in her white dress. She didn't care for the water placed on her head, but did a great job. It was a very special time for our family.

Yesterday it was my neice's 4th birthday party. We went bowling and to an arcade. Drew and Kyra had a blast. Here are some pictures from Nat's party.

Our weekend in D.C.

Mike and I had the opportunity to have a weekend get-a-way in Washington D.C. for a work Christmas party. We stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel in Georgetown and that was just the beginning.

On Saturday morning, Mike and I walked around National Mall and toured the Air and Space museum where we saw the plane that Mike's grandfather flew. We also walked to the Washington Monument and the World War II Monument. One cab driver drove us past the Pentagon and Arlington National Cemetery.

Saturday night was the Christmas party at the Phillips Collection Museum. We got all dressed up and had a FABULOUS time. The after party was back at the Four Seasons where we sat around and mingled until 1:30 am.

Sunday morning we tried to get up early and see more sights. We started at the Lincoln Monument, the Vietnam Monument, and the Korean Monument. It was an amazing experience, and we hope to go back when we have more time.

Mike and I had a wonderful weekend thanks to ATK for inviting us and Mike's parents for watching our kids!

Decorating X-mas Cookies

What is the holidays without decorating Christmas sugar cookies. Today the kids sprinkled and shook, plopped and piled to decorate the most delicious cookies. Fun was had by all!

Santa Land

Every holiday season, the Macy's department store in Minneapolis has an animated holiday show. My mom, sister, and I try and make it each year. This year's theme was "A Day in the Life of an Elf." Not our favorite, but still it was good and very entertaining. After we walked through the show, we waited in line to see Santa (again for Drew & Kyra). Many great memories were made today!
